So as a new 500 member I decided to look more closely at the Page Turner contest. Initially, I was under the impression you had to have a completed novel...then I discovered it just had to be the first chapter and a synopsis!

With the deadline looming large, I'm wondering if I should crash through the first chapter of my novel (still at first draft stage), or just pass this year...

Sarah, do it. You'll have a two year wait otherwise. (Fiction only comes around once every two years.)

We're looking for something that has the greatest potential to be published, so even if it is a bit rough around the edges, as long as you know where your story is going (at this stage), and have a first chapter draft, give it a bit of a polish then submit it. What have you got to lose?
