And welcome to the "Contenders List", Rachel. I know I didn't realize until recently that getting that top spot in the EC also puts us into the running for "Best of the Best". Deb's counting down the remaining spots for the year a few forums down.
 I realized that this morning!

A BIG shout out to all the winners - again so many great writers and works represented here. Nice to see some new names up there as well.

What a marvelous list of winners. I've read a few of these entries, and agree wholeheartedly with the judges. Good job all. I'm looking forward to the Top 40 list too, Josh.

Lynne

P/S Josh, I was right in my guess about that story after all. It was you

I really don't like Roman Numerals, they just get longer and longer. If you have a typo on your check, the other guy thinks you're giving him $5,300 instead of $53.00 (YIKES!)

You know me all too well, Lynne. I am getting too predictable with my titles and with my voice. And lately I seem to always have the longest titles. I guess I need to shorten them a bit. Sometimes I have as much fun coming up with the title of a piece as I do actually writing it. I'm just happy to be entering consistently this quarter. Which makes me ask, why haven't you been entering Lynne? I miss your stuff! :)

Thank you, thank you! My head is still spinning at such incredible recognition for this first-time entrant to ANY contest. I am sincerely grateful to the judges.

Congratulations to all the rest whose hard work was rewarded! Way to go!

And thanks for welcoming this newbie, those of you who have read and commented on my articles.
