Southern Porch Extension

Until our old porch has been repaired, we've put up a temporary porch so someone can look in on Ole Blue, the puppies and Tim's cats. So bring a lawn chair, lots of food, lots of new friends and join the fun on the porch!
If you live south of the North Pole, you're a Southerner and you're invited to join us for the fun and fellowship!

I picked up some porch rockers last time I was in Wilmington, I drag one up the stairs and join y'all. Bible reading a 6p, devotions at 7, somebody set up a buffet table and everyone can bring a covered dish. Never let be said that I let it pass...where two or more Methodists/Baptists/Presybys/Episps/PCs are gathered, there will be a green bean salad in their midst.

hehehe every time I hear someone say "bring a dish to pass" I can visualize all these casseroles passing through the air like footballs. You're leading the Bible study, I guess.

Linda is trying to get in but it keeps telling her it's too soon since her last post! hehe what a mess.

Tonight we are studying Philippians 4:13. "I can do everything through Him who gives me strength." (NIV). The theme is Make God the Center of the New Year.

Hope some folks attend, otherwise I will have to play my banjo.

When God said to "make a joyful noise," he had banjos in mind. No other instruments so perfectly matches the sound of inch-long fingernails scraping the whole length of a blackboard.

Hey there, Sweetie! If anyone deserves to be called a Southerner, it's you from way down under!! Welcome!

Linda and Verna were able to get in here but after they wrote a message and hit the "submit" button, a little box came up telling them it was too soon to file another message. :lol:

So they waited a few minutes and the same thing happened.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Scott. Talk about stress with several hundred impatient writers on his trail. Poor, sweet guy!

Don cautiously climbs the steps (creak, creak) to the alternate porch and reaches for the porch door handle. He ever so slowly unlatches the door and pushes it open just a tiny little bit (squeak, squeak). Through the crack he can see a dim light inside. Don opens the door a little more and looks in all the corners for cyber critters. Seeing none, he opens the door even more and much to his surprise... there's a party going on in there!

Wow! There's music, there's food, there's laughter, there's singing, there's dancing, there's fellowship...and the familiar porch gang is all in there! Old Blue is there too - a wagging his tail!

Hallelujah! I thought I was lost in cyber space forever - but I'm not!!! It's party time...

HAIL HAIL THE GANG'S ALL HERE. WELL, GETTING THERE! I sure have missed you all. I bet I tried to get in a dozen times a day and then I moped around waiting til the next time.

I don't think Ole Blue looks any worse for wear but somebody must have come by to see the puppies. Wanna see what they look like now?
