Jan's Master Class--CONSONANCE

You've inspired me Jan! Here's the intro of something I've been working on.

Early morning sun is sneaking, creeping tree to tree, peering and peeking
Shoving back shadows, exposing, showing, mammoth multiplying
Glowing and growing...

I know your not too enamored of sweet stuff, so I assure you, it does get quite savage toward the end. It will be up in the poetry corner soon.

In A Bouquet of Solace, I used alliteration, assonance, and consonance within a story to create mood.

May, I think you have a great ear for poetry! And "yes" I think you can use all three ....maybe not easily, but they can be woven in and out of your lines.

(I don't want to give up my 'ing' words. They have such wonderful flow and sound and action! No...No..No... Don't take them away! )
