Highest Ranked Entries for ROMANCE

Post by Deb Porter »

Hi everyone.

Congratulations to all our winners in the Romance Challenge. It was such a great mix (with lots of new names). Well done!

Now that our winners have had a little time in the spotlight, it's time to see who else did very well. It's time for the list of highest ranked entries. If you find your entry on any of these lists, either the Top 40 overall, or the Top 15 for your level, then give yourself a pat on the back. You were very close.

Love, Deb

Oh yea! It got posted before I had to leave for my class.

I had an extreme love-hate relationship with my Romance entry and was really curious to see if Mr. Growly Pants would make an appearance on the list. #19 - I am pleased. I guess I'm back to loving my entry now. Or at least being in "like" with it.

Grrrrr - Mr. Growly Pants is happy, too.

Congrats everyone who entered and everyone who is sticking with this crazy quarter!!!

Love, Teri

Mondo bummer...not in the top 40...again! Raspberries. I knew humor stunk, but romance was good...just a tad off topic. Sigh.

I'm tied with you for 200, Dub. But, I'm glad to be writing. Great work to all I read...I'll try to catch a few more this week.

Congrats to the winners! :D

Well I'm pleased as punch! And surprised. And thankful!

Congratulations to all who took the risk and entered.

Not only keep up the GOOD work, but keep on trying, and trying, and trying.

We will be blessed for it.

Love,
Pat

Well, speaking for this judge -the funny ones were the only thing that helped me stay sane this week LOL - not so say there weren't some flat out mushy ones that were good, I was VERY VERY happy to have a few good laughs along the way.

If y'all were getting published in the Romance section of the bookstore, I might actually be tempted to buy one LOL

I know mine was, too--historical romance is generally my area of focus when I write. It gets difficult to do something that's not been done so many times already especially in romance :)

Now I just need to think of something decent for this week--I sure hope something comes! :)

I'm with ya there. I didn't think my humor one was any good and it got something like 35th place. I was hoping to place this week and I'm not on the list at all!

And Amy, Deb,

I thought my romance would actually do better than it did, so I'm just happy to be on the list. BUT there are many weeks when I don't even make it to the list... so I know exactly how you both feel!!!!

In my opinion, you guys are to be congratulated for writing and entering and being stretched! Kudos to you both!! :D

You keep write on keeping on, ya hear?! She encourages, knowing already that she has absolutely no intention of trying to enter the historical genre, but will be cheering everyone else on from the sidelines this week!

Blessings,
Cheri

I agree that there were some flat out funny romances there. Mine was the anti romance but the comments were flattering.

Although I made a commitment to God I would try every genre and just enjoy being stretched the really princess fleshy part of me misses those placements I got right off the bat!

But these truly were great entries and I've had about 6 historical ideas in a few hours, so I think the next entries are going to be diverse and fascinating, can't wait to read them all!

Congrats again!
