We are all so much alike it's scary. We all talk about the outstanding talent we have here at FW, and that we all couldn't possibly win, yet we desperately want to. We never want to admit (me included) that we, ourselves, add to this talent pool. This is a seriously fun crowd.
It truly is an amazing place we have here. I've never been anywhere, cyber or otherwise, where there are so many gifted people with such little ego. It's truly a beautiful thing. No matter who wins, that person will be bombarded with sincere congrats with out a malicious word spoken or otherwise.
Personally, my main hope is this; this contest (the six month deadline is genious, btw) will spark me enough to write a novel. I have a YA novel gathering dust, but that was BFW (Before FaithWriters) where my writing was flawed beyond belief. I hope beyond hope that I can somehow find the time to at least come up with a solid idea and start to my own Christian novel. Be still my heart.
Good luck to us all. Makes me wonder, though, how blessed are the people who get to read all of the amazing work they will soon be buried with.
I have no idea where this post come from, but best wishes to my FW brethren.
