Find a Challenge Buddy (or Two ... or Three)

I need a buddy to proof my short story for punctuation mainly. I am still having trouble with the commas, semi colons, and certain types of quotations.

In short, I'm just a dummy when it comes to all that!

I've just been doing a catch-up on the forum info and the challenge buddy/ies idea. I think I have missed some information posts as I didn't know that 'The Challenge' is changing to a fortnightly competition. When does it change? It hasn't changed yet, has it?

And, about buddies - I'd like some critiques of my work, mainly poetry, but also some prose, but...

the idea of getting help prior to submitting seems too hard time-wise, and my feeling is that it would be better to submit and then have some willing buddies offer to critique my entry and offer suggested improvements, post submitting.

Would that sort of buddy system work? And if so, is anyone interested in doing it this way (write, submit, then share with buddies and offer improvements).

The new information about the Challenge is now old news. "Fortnight" entries did not hang around very long. Submissions are as before - weekly. The Buddy System is strictly voluntary. Shuold you join a group, you are not obligated to critique every week; at least not in my group.

Hope this helps. I'm sure a Moderator will fill in the rest of the details.

I prefer pre-submission critiques. Time is still a factor, whether it's done before or after. I like the idea of submitting an article with fewer "kinks" in it.
