Encouraging words, Dub. Thank you!
I actually discussed this with my doctor a couple of years ago. He's been my doctor for over five years, and he knows my medical history and situation pretty well. His recommendation for me was "no white." No sugar, bread, rice, pasta, potatoes, etc. And for me, that's what really works. So I just need to get back on it. And I'm trying to do that. It's just difficult to make a complete break from all white foods when you've allowed yourself to have them.
Yes, walking is the best exercise for me. I just make excuses and don't get outside. But knowing that I'm being "watched" by others helps to motivate me.
I've found accountability works well for me.
It's a beautiful day today, so I'm going to get outside and walk. Hopefully for 30 minutes.
