The Bible says in 2 Tim. 2:15 “study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” I, as a teenager, often find many of my peers only going along (doctrinally) with the Church’s Theology, which they are currently attending, because their parents told them to. This fallowing your parent’s theology is great to a curtain point, but there comes a time in one’s life where, he should know what he believes, and why he believes it (not because “mom told me so”). As I thought about this I found that I never really took the time to systematically lay out what I believe and why I believe it (regarding denomination, certain bible doctrines, and moral standards). So my current mission is to write a moral constitution of sorts, and I would like to challenge anyone to do the same with me. I find this study exciting, and a fundamental stepping stone of my Christian life. Also, I believe when I finish this “moral constitution” it will help me for years to come. The one thing to remember is that every point made should be backed up with scriptures. I pray that we will all draw closer to the Lord, and that He will draw us closer to Himself.
