Thought passage: 1 Chron. 26:27. "Out of the spoils won in battles did they dedicate to maintain the house of the LORD."
Soldiers bringing back the spoils of battle and instead of using them for personal gain they bring them back to be used for the maintenance of God’s house. When we win the spiritual battles of life do we have a little more joy, longsuffering, godliness or any of the other fruits of the Spirit added to our character, therefore, maintaining and growing us spiritually?
