Thought passage: 1 Kings 22:43.
“And he walked in all the ways of Asa his father; he turned not aside from it, doing that which was right in the eyes of the LORD: nevertheless the high places where not taken away; for the people offered and burnt incense yet in the high places.”
Jehoshaphat followed his father Asa and lived a life that was right in the sight of the Lord. Are we a good example to our children? Jehoshaphat, however, did not use his influence with the people enough to have the altars of false gods torn down. Is living the Christian life enough of a testimony if no one’s heart is changed because of it (see Rom 10:13-17)?
