Thought passage: 1 Kings 15:5. "Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite."
David’s family received blessings because of David’s faithfulness. David’s family also suffered the consequences of the one thing God points out that he did wrong. So many blessings, so many problems; not all problems are a result of our sin but how many fewer troubles would we have if we simply obey God? Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
