1 Kings 6:22. "And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until he had finished all the house: also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold."
Solomon overlaid the temple with pure gold. God had blessed Solomon and he could afford it. I’ve heard Christians complain because of church buildings being to ornate, not humble enough. God expects our best and if we, like Solomon, can overlay it with gold we should. Always give God your best. Give God your best effort and all of your heart. Overlay your life with gold.

Tim I couldn't agree with you more. God deserves our very best all the time.
Psalm 100:1-5
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
