If there is an interest, I would be more than willing to revive this forum.

I do propose some minor changes, however.

1. I will KISS. That is, Keep It Simple, Stupid. Very short lessons, rather than long drawn out lectures. I don't have time. You don't have time. I will just post tidbits of correct (and incorrect) grammar usage, as I see them or think of them.

2. In keeping with #1, I would love for you to become involved. Ask questions. If you'd like to be anonymous, text me on FB or PM me on FW. Leave a message here. Don't wait for me to bring it up, because I may never think of that burning thing you want / need to know.

I'm absolutely in. Grammar is HARD.

I'll admit that I nearly always rewrite sentences to avoid lie/lay (and all of their tenses). I look them up online, but often can't find an example using the tense that I'm looking for. I'd LOVE a complete chart, with sentences for examples, that I can print and keep near my computer.

I have so many more grammar questions where that one came from. It's a wonder I even write (or edit) at all.

I am in. "Learn" and "learnt" or "learned"? When does the "t" as opposed to the "ed" apply? I have problems with "whom" too.

I would love to learn more about 1) the proper use of commas, and 2) proper, creative use of commas (if there is such a thing).

I will cover commas a bite at a time. It can be unwieldy, and "commas" are part of why I have taken such a lengthy break from this forum. That, and apostrophes.

As for "creative," I'm not sure about that.
We are prone to using too many commas, and if you read much Brit Lit, there's not enough, adding to ambiguity and just plain confusion.

Are the posts on commas further down the forum still available to you?

Ann, I've tried to peruse your earlier lesson about commas to see if my question was answered, but unless I missed it, I couldn't find the answer. So (, ?) here's my question:

Could you clear up my confusion about salutations. I've seen them written in many forms.

"Hi, Anne. I hope all is well."
"Hi Anne, I hope all is well."
"Hi Anne. I hope all is well."

Which one(s) is(are) correct?

I'm in, and thanks so much for doing this. I agree with Jan that grammar is hard!

One idea for a lesson - which and that, and the differences between them.

...and I thought that it was just me, a non native speaker, struggling with these problems!

I've two other ideas for a lesson:

1. Verbs--as an ESL speaker I don't "feel" the difference between the past and the present perfect. I need a simple, easy to remember, rule--if such a thing exists.

2. When to use the hyphen in adjectives. For example, is it non-native or non native speaker? Easy-to-remember or easy to remember rule?
