Just want to say that your poetry class challenged me to try something new (I tend to stay in my comfort zone). I know I wouldn't have attempted it on my own. I'm so glad (and grateful) you had them.

Since some of the beginner and intermediate level writers don't visit the message boards, would Scott let you post something on the main "Writing Challenge" page?

Remember Field of Dreams? Build it and we will come. Being stuck in beginners forever with friends rising to the top like butter in a churn, I know I would love to have more beginner instruction. It could be advertized in every forum title and suggested when we comment on the challenges. I don't think I have any poet bones in me, but I still have read all your past and current stuff. I'm a Newbie too and I just stumbled on this Forum. Oh, I wish I had seen this sooner! I need to learn a LOT!! I like all these ideas for advertising your forum because I didn't know it was here!!

Your classes really are helpful to beginners, masters, and all levels in between. I hope you continue to welcome all writers into your classes, even if it is designed mostly to help the lower levels improve. I still need to improve as well.

Folks, it'll be a while. My husband had emergency surgery Sunday night, and will probably be in the hospital for at least a week.

He's going to be fine--thanks be to God--but I won't have a lot of time for writing a new class. Be patient with me, please.
