More Show - Less Tell 11/2/09

Post by Writetrack »

When it comes to writing, you've probably heard the phrase, "Show, don't tell." But what does that really mean? That's what this week's article addresses. Here is the question posed by a FaithWriters member that prompted Glenn's in-depth answer:

Q: I write small articles for Faith Writers Challenge, but would like to write a novel. I was told my short stories are good, but need to be expanded upon. I have been told to have characters and dialogue, but have no idea how to do this. Is there a way I can learn? Even just a few ideas would help.

If this is something you've wondered, yourself, find out what you can do to learn how to "show and not tell." Click HERE for the rest of the article.
