I am happy to report that since the Visiting Nurse talked to Cookie, things have improved. Cookie is much better behaved and can make it to the restroom by herself. C.J. has recovered from her asthma attack, though the colder weather is keeping her from going out for some fresh air.

Keep C.J. in prayer as she is trying yet again to quit smoking; Diane is trying to stop drinking, even though she is more of a social drinker.

I have a praise report in the appropriate forum.

Last Saturday Cookie asked us to call 911, she wanted to go to the hospital. When they checked her feeding tube, the end that was inside her was rotten. They took her, and she returned Sunday afternoon. I asked her how she was feeling, and she said, "Great!". When the Visiting Nurse came, she was happy to hear of Cookie's improvements. Now let's hope she stays feeling great for a while. The reason her feeding tube was in such bad condition is it's supposed to be cleaned twice daily, and it hadn't been in over a month, despite our offers to clean it for her. :x

Yesterday Cookie got a snootful and went walking; she got to the neighbor's front lawn where she fell, hitting her head and giving herself a nasty lump over her right eye and a shiner and lump beneath, as well as scratching up her glasses. She went to the hospital for a few hours, then was brought home by cab.
I was hoping they'd talk her into entering a treatment program or keep her because of her history. That old woman will kill herself yet, I swear. We're getting disgusted.

Praying for God to manifest His powerful healing touch in unique but obvious ways throughout your household!

Are you ready for this?

Yesterday while I was at church, Becky and Cookie were the only ones at home; Cookie's friend Tamara came by. Cookie pulled her feeding tube out, and now her part of the room looks like somebody was killed in there. 911 was called, and Cookie was so out of it she tried to call her son--who's been dead for six years--using her TV remote for a cellphone. She was totally whacko. She refused to go to the hospital unless it was Hoag--45 minutes away. No can do. The cops and the paramedics couldn't do much because she didn't want to comply. She's covered in blood but never washes it off. She doesn't bathe unless she's going to the hospital or the doctor.

This Wednesday we are having a monthly house meeting, and we are going to make it an intervention. It's going to be rough, but we didn't sign up for this, she's obviously a Muchausenite, yeah I misspelled that, but I'm sure you know what I mean. We are sick and tired of this business (putting it nicely), and will likely give her her 30 day notice to shape up or ship out. Not the first time we've done that.

Pray her replacement will not have any similar issues. I think we're going to have to create some rules for accepting new housemates.

The house meeting scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled for next week. The problem with the Munchausen diagnosis is that Cookie will pull out her IV or other tubes they have in her and leave when she's in the hospital. So we're going to give her a chance to explain herself.
