Postby Deb Porter » Sat May 19, 2012 5:00 am

Hi everyone.

We are going to kick off the first of the new series of re-branded FaithWriters' books with the winning entries from the Hobbies and Pastimes Challenge (to be the Simple Pleasures Book). This will be a fun book.

Based on the list of winners from that quarter, the authors for this book will be:

If you are on the list and a current member, please make sure your contact details are up to date.

If you are in contact with a member who is not currently active, please ask them to make sure their contact details are up to date.

Although you may have completed a release form for the Challenge with FaithWriters, I will be contacting you with an agreement/release form for Breath of Fresh Air Press. You simply need to print it off, complete it, then either post or scan and email it back to the address on that form.

Every author will then receive an edited version of their article (or unedited if it's fine as it is). The author will be required to approve the edits and reply by email. At that time, we will also ask for a very short (one to two sentence only) bio note. (The old bio notes were taking up pages; this time we want them to run at the bottom of each article.)

Once I have that back, we'll be all set to go.

Love, Deb

Soooo cool!

Deb - I FB tagged everyone who is my friend with a link to this post (I think!) - besides Jan, cuz I'm guessing she knows LOL.

Hopefully that will get you some good response!

What year was the Hobbies and Pastimes challenge? My first EC was in July 2007 and none of my EC entries were ever printed in a FW book.Does this mean those past challenges will not be used? I guess I am a little confused.

Deb, you mentioned in another post that not all of the books will be in print form. Will this one be? I'm wondering since I always like to get copies of any book I'm published in for my mom and my sister, and they are not online.

Thanks, Joanne. I saw that you tagged me in a FB post, but I haven't been there yet to see why. ;)

This is TRULY one of the most exciting parts of being a FaithWriter! I have my story published way back in 2004, and it's just a real hoot to be able to say "I'm a published author!" Really great fun!

Congrats to those who will be in this book -- :bow

Yes, I think from what she said that this will be a print book. If you end up with any that are in the magazine online instead, you could always print out a copy and give it to your family. My grandparents aren't online so I print out my blogs and stories and everything for them. They love it.

Thanks, Deb!

Yay! Exciting. Though I still question how this entry ever made it to an EC, seeing as I still don't personally like the story all that much.

Amy, lucky me, this is the last EC I had. ;) So I'm glad it sounds like it will be in a print book. :)

Absolutely, Laurie. This one will be in print. Very few won't be (probably just the one from the internet Challenge).
