GranR, I saw your post and wanted to respond.
First of all, I wouldn't worry too much because some entries appear to have been read more often than yours. One reason could be is that the author is like me--narcissistic. I just can't resist the temptation to click on my entry so that I can gaze at it lovingly.
Seriously though, one way to encourage readers to view your entry is to give it a catchy title. (I suspect that I have sometimes enticed people to my entry with my title. But I have no way of knowing how many people left my entry in disgust when they found that the entry itself was not quite so---well---catchy.)
A possible way to get more comments is to throw a brick soon after Deb starts the thread. People reading the thread with the intention of commenting on entries, will likely start with the first brick but not make it all the way through to the most recently thrown brick.
