I am so humbled by this. Shining Stars is a true story of 2 incredible women who do so much good for God for so little acclaim. Having their story read by you and ultimately published in the FaithWriters book is just a small acknowledgement of their service.
Thank you so much!
Joan

Give me the love that leads the way,
The faith that nothing can dismay,
The hope no disappointments tire,
The passion that will burn like fire.
Let me not sink to be a clod,
Make me Thy fuel, Flame of God.

Many thanks to the judges for making sense of my deliberately convoluted science fiction. Even I felt sorry for the editor in my story. Guess you did too.
And a special mention to Carol Slider whose Segue really rocks. If you haven't read it yet, you've missed a treat.
And special congrats to Lollie Hofer who only a couple weeks ago was talking about dropping down a level. Enjoy that Highly Commended. You deserve it. I hope you pick up a few more gold boxes for your entry too.

PS For those of you who missed our previous link, do check out our new video on YouTube. Our son, Daniel, is our church drummer here in Mozambique and he's just received a new drum kit - African style, made from wood, goatskin, wire and bottle caps. Click here to see for yourself!

Congratulations to all the winners. I haven't had a chance to read any stories yet this week. (Busy babysitting five children plus working at the shop in the evening doesn't leave a lot of time to read.) I'm going to try and get some read in a couple hours.
Thanks to the judges for the High Recommend. It's been a long, dry spell so this one is especially sweet.
