I finally took time to read some of of the bricks last night, and once again I see what a difficult time the judges have. My hats off to you this week, and thank you for your service during such a BUSY time.

Congrats to all who made the list and to all who shared your gift of writing and your heart - I was blessed by each and every entry I read. I only wish I had more time to spend reading the submissions on this site.

Yes, this is my first 1st! I was just sitting there at work, when I decided to check to see who made EC. Then it went something like this.... "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!..(etc. etc. etc.)." Then I stared at the screen for about three minutes. I checked my phone then, and saw a message from Ruth. I had to check back later in the day, just to make sure. I'm STILL in shock!

I was getting a bit discouraged because I hadn't had an EC for quite awhile. When I first submitted, I was thinking maybe it had a chance for EC. Then I told myself not to get my hopes up and was hoping for maybe the top 40. But NEVER did I expect 1st! WOW!
