What an awesome group of winners!! Again: I'm SO proud to be among you (and surprised, again). My humble thanks to the judges -- it must be a real challenge to have to pick winners here (so the challenge isn't just writing, is it??).

Congratulations!

Marlene: I really appreciated your comment. I've been descouraged by never getting an EC (was only three out of the running with my purple entry). You renewed my hope!

Now that NaNo is almost over (whew- I'm going to make it!), I'm ready to get back into the Challenge with renewed vigor (LOL).

NaNo was a GREAT experience and I learned tons. I would encourage everyone to try it next year and hopefully, I will prepare better. (Decided 48 hrs. before the 1st to participate) but now I will officially have a WIP...I feel like a proud new mother! And even though I've never given birth, I think I understand some of the pain! *giggle*

Kathryn: I've been meaning to ask...what is NaNo - and what is WIP??? And welcome back to Challenge!

Sorry- didn't mean to confuse you.

NaNo is short for the National Novel Writing Month challenge or more commonly known as NaNoWriMo. (nanowrimo.org).

It is a challenge issued to writers each year during the month of November to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days. Check out the site for details.

I'm just a little under 3,000 words away from completing. The manuscript I wrote (just a framework...needs major renovation) will become my official "Work in Progress" or WIP which means I have something to continue working on in hopes that someday I could get it published.

Appreciate it but I'm sure it will be quite a while till my WIP becomes a real book...

In the meanwhile, I got a brown idea so hope to get in this week!

I only managed to read a handful, and comment on even fewer, but my congratulations are offered to the wonderful winners and ALL who entered!

Congratulations!

We had such an amazing showing this week - great creativity.

Thank you to the judges and everyone who commented. I was so worried that this one had flopped. I'm so excited! (and nervous, that makes two ECs... )
