Most of you know that I love statistics. I've compiled the stats for the most recent Writing Challenge quarter for those of you who share my love of numbers, and I've listed them below.
If you're new this quarter, this is how I compute these: I give 10 points for a 1st place in a weekly challenge, 9 points for a 2nd place, 8 for a 3rd place...and so on, down to 1 point for a 10th place EC. I keep track on a simple spreadsheet, then add up the totals at the end of the quarter.
If your name is on this list--congratulations!
18--Mariane Holbrook, Verna Cole Mitchell
12--Beth Meuhlhausen, Gregory Kane, Rachel Burkum
11--Diana Dart, Kristen Hester, Lisa Mikitarian, Loren Thomas, Lynda Schultz
10--Bryan Ridenour, Mary Lou Tiner, Sandra Petersen, Sharlyn Guthrie
9--Dee Yoder, Kaylee Blake, Linda Payne, Marita Thelander, Patricia Herchenroether, Ruth Neilson
8--Jim McWhinnie, Laury Hubrich, Sharon Kane, Virgil Youngblood
7--Beth LaBuff, Eliza Evans, Lisa Johnson, Maria Katterick
6--Emily Gibson, William Price
5--Betty Castleberry, Brenda Kern, Patricia Turner, Pat Sipperly

If your name is misspelled, or if I miscalculated your score, please let me know and I'll fix it right away.
Again--congratulations to everyone on this list! There are 58 writers here, and each one has given us writing that is a blessing and an inspiration!
Thanks again for posting this Jan. It's always interesting to see how things line up and fit in after the end of each quarter. It is good to see so many various writing styles and genres represented, as well. I see many of my favorite authors on this list; and consider myself honored to be among them.
"And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything." From "As You Like It." Wm. Shakespeare.
Thanks for the numbers just sorry my name couldn't have been on the list. Working hard to change that! Hopefully, God will help me to improve that area of my writing skills.
What a great list! LOVE all the familiar and not-so-familiar names up there. I'm not, but rumor is you actually have to ENTER to even get a chance.
