Congratulations to one and all! Great to see some new "faces" up there, too.
Congratulations Sonya and Myrna and Glynis and Jan and Rick and all the winners. It was an interesting week--reading all the perspectives on the USA.
Again, great job and Congratulations!
Congratulations to all the winners in placing in a very difficult challenge. Way to go. Special shout out, too to Myrna back from a time away from the challenge and doing so well with her work and her EC placement.
"And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything." From "As You Like It." Wm. Shakespeare.
Well deserved by one and all!

"But kids like us grow up and need our own relationship with God, forged in the heart through time and experience, not draped around us by the church we attend. We need to know God for ourselves, not secondhand." Frank Peretti from his introduction in The Visitation.

My FW Profile
CONGRATS to all the EC and Level winners!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO!!
I was so tired after staying up til the wee hours to rewrite my Australia piece that I accidently erased into oblivion just as I was getting ready to submit it, and I didn't even check the rankings until 11 a.m. here. Was I ever surprised to see my name! It's been such a long time since I've submitted anything, and it was an encouragement to me to keep writing.
I'm going to go read all the winning entries I didn't get to before!
Thanks, Jan. In the interest of full disclosure (there's the lawyer again), in addition to this entry and the other one I've mentioned in your Master Class, I did do 4 others in the Christmas quarter.
"When the Round Table is broken every man must follow Galahad or Mordred; middle
things are gone." C.S. Lewis
“The chief purpose of life … is to increase according to our capacity our knowledge of God by all the means we have, and to be moved by it to praise and thanks. To do as we say in the Gloria in Excelsis ... We praise you, we call you holy, we worship you, we proclaim your glory, we thank you for the greatness of your splendor.” J.R.R. Tolkien
It is totally adorable! I must admit, I always look forward to Joanne's whoo hoos...love em'.
Congratulations to all who placed! Thanks so much to the judges...I was so happy to see that I squeaked onto the list today, especially given the date. Even with all the problems we have, history has shown us that "We The People" have the power to change what we don't like about our country. But it tends to come at a price.
I grew up in a non-religious, vaguely Christian home.
I will never forget my father looking up at me one evening from the nightly news and saying, "Michele, you should thank God everyday that you were born in this country."
And I do.
