Good - now here's a question.

How is the judging going to be done? Will there be a rating system? Or just gut reaction as a reader.

ROFL! Don't worry. I don't mind readers who are writers. But I want them to read them as readers--not as writers.

Make sense?

Christine, stop hyperventilating--okay?

Aw, Deb, it's all the fumes from the new hair colour that I've been inhaling all morning. I had no idea it would stink so much - nearly needed to wear a mask and protective eyewear.

I'm missing something here.

I've read a thread of two about the Page Turner Writing Contest but I can't seem to find what it's all about.

What am I missing?

Sorry!

Um George ... you might as well get out of that corner.

No one is going to believe you can't write anyway. The proof is in the puddin dear George.

And as for the audio suggestion - I think it's brilliant myself.

Then us judges (who can't write) can fall asleep to those who can!

Jules, if you sign in to the 500 page, there is a link at the bottom of the links that gives all the info. :D

I guess you have to try make a man want to read about moms, Lynda.

And the men have to try and make women like war. :P

I don't like either. :P

I think other contests use just a few judges also for all genres don' t they?

I know someone who is considering being a judge and she likes mom lit and war stories, so I guess we're set.

And no, it's not me, but personally I haven't yet met a genre that I didn't like so long as it is well written and doesn't have swearing or overly sensual stuff in it.
