Once again, we'll be keeping track of how many entries there are in the Page Turner contest this year (so you can keep an eye on the competition).
So, here's the official current Page Turner Entry count:
1 entry (as at 23rd February, 2011)
I'll update it regularly, but as always, be prepared for the big rush to happen in the final month or so.
Love, Deb

Deb,
How many entries constitute a contest? Blessings, Lori

Sorry, Lori. I couldn't really put a figure on it. We definitely wouldn't have a contest with only one entry, though.
We usually get around 40 (maybe a little less or a little more) and that's a great contest.

DEB, you changed your profile pic! When did that happen? I stood in shock for a moment, my brain is used to seeing daisies so it didn't register until today that it was
you. Very nice pic, tho'
Sorry for that... Now back to the subject on board.

LOL ... I changed it without fanfare about a week or so ago. Just thought it was time. I tried to change it once years ago, but everyone missed my daisies (or perhaps that just speaks volumes about my face!).
It saves confusion when I'm dealing with people at FaithWriters and again on the boards. This way they know who I am straight away.

I love the pic, Deb.
And fun to have a running count of entries.

Deb, when is the deadline for the Page Turner Contest?
How long should the synopsis be?
What are the word count parameters for the first chapter?
Thanks,

Hi Jim. Best suggestion is to just read the information about it. You can find out a bit more from this thread here:
http://www.faithwriters.com/Boards/phpB ... 50&t=32120
That will also point you to the Page Turner Contest page (where you'll find all the rules and information).

Thanks, Deb.
I guess it's like my wife asking if actually looked for I was looking for before I call out, "I can't remember where I put my ____________________."

I've never written a synopsis before.
Would I include the ending. (Such a spoiler alert!)
Or just write the premise?

Hi Theresa.
Including a rough idea of how you plan to wrap up the story would be great. Just a general overview of where the story is going, including the planned.
Some people haven't finished their manuscripts yet, so they may only be able to give an idea of where they plan to go. The ending may turn out to be quite different when they get to that point, and that's fine.
