The final number of entries for the 2011 Fiction Page Turner contest....

79 entries (as at midnight October 31)

One entry made it in just before Scott closed the door.

Congratulations to everyone who took the time to whip their first chapter and synopsis into shape, took a deep breath of courage, and entered it. You're all winners in my book!

The FW newsletter for this month must have been written a few days before the end of the month since it put the tally at 60+. That's a pretty good-sized plus. :) I still can't believe how big the number is! So cool.

Maybe I should have sent something in, just to bump the total up to a nice, round 80.

Yes, you should have!

I've been curious about something... were most of the entries from long time FW's or was there a rush of new platinum members in October?

Not that it matters one way or the other. I'm thrilled there were so many entries whoever the entrants were, but I was just curious.

Not that Deb has anything better to do this month than answer questions! :hide :rolling

Mixture, Shelley. I know some people did say they signed up deliberately for Platinum for this, so that's good. (Hope they stick with it and jump into Challenges as well.)

And Rick, being a very symmetrical, everything-should-be-nice-and-balanced type person, yes, that one extra entry would have been very nice.

Well, just to give a final count (because two people contacted me recently to say they hadn't received a confirmation email from me, but had submitted their entries. Glad they checked!)

So the final tally was 81 entries. Well done everyone.

I think this is so wonderful. It shows that Faithwriters is still going strong. Congratulations to everyone who entered. In my book that takes a lot of courage and every single one of you who entered is a true winner!

Have the winners been announced yet?
