Hi everyone.

If you are a Platinum 500 member, it's time to get that first chapter and synopsis ready for this year's Page Turner contest.

Here's where you can find out all the details, and submit your application:

http://www.faithwriters.com/myaccount/F ... turner.php

(Non-Platinum members who would like to know more, you can find out here: http://www.faithwriters.com/page-turner.php )

This is the biggest contest we hold each year, and this year it's even bigger (I'm so excited!!!). So if you have a novel in the works, or an idea in mind, don't miss out.

After you submit, I will contact you to let you know that your entry has been safely received. In the early days of the contest, I won't be checking the entries every day. So give me a week or two, and if I haven't contacted you, PLEASE contact me and ask me to check. There is a link to my contact page near the bottom of both the above pages. If I'm online, you can use the chat button for an immediate response.

This year's contest is really huge, and it is well worth entering. If you miss out this year, there won't be another fiction Page Turner until 2013.

Love, Deb

As long as it's fiction, yes, it most certainly does.

Hi Deb,
I will be sending you the first two chapters of the Christian romance novel I am writing. Blessings, Lori

Can you enter more than one story?

Good question, but to be fair to everyone, no--unless you have two Platinum accounts.

So if you have two novels on the go, you'll have to work out which one you think has the most potential. Hard I know. A bit like favoring one of our children over another. Unthinkable!

Alrighty then . . . one it is. Now to convince my MC's that I love them all the same. I'll tell them how it is more beneficial that they wait until they are of age. Kinda like explaining to my sons the reason one is permitted to sit in the front seat while the other must wait another year or two when he is a little taller. :) He'll probably  but in the end, he'll be  that I didn't exploit his youth before he was ready to handle the attention.

Deb,

I almost didn't think I'd get to participat this year but since I'd been helped out by one of our member, I might actually get to join in after all. Working on a romance novel that I hope to have finished in time for the contest. I've looked at what's being offered and it looking appealing to say the least. I think it will be great! I'm excited and can't wait to finish it. At least the first chapter!

Two platinum accounts? Hmm... I could sign in under my many different alias(es?) BUT I just learned that entering multiple times does NOT improve my chances of winning. Lost out on a Kindle by a kid buying a ticket for his mom.

The deadline used to be Sept, didn't it? I was thinking my time was up soon, but now I see I have until Oct 31st. Can you give me an idea of what a "short synopsis" means? About a page long?

Oh, I see on the actual entry form (which I clicked on out of curiosity) that the synopsis has to be under 500 words.

Hi Amy. The 500 words is a guide. If it's a tad over, it won't be the end of the world (I won't be counting).

Thanks for asking that question Amy I was kind of wondering that myself. So that answered it for me too.

Deb might not care if the synopsis is a tad over, but the online submission form does!

If you try to submit a synopsis of over 500 words it won't go through.

Just something to keep in mind! 8)
