I took the plunge!

Postby Shann » Tue Dec 03, 2013 12:36 pm

I took the plunge despite my fears and my first picture book is on Amazon and CreateSpace.

https://www.createspace.com/4544087

It's called Tie My Shoe and Rachel Malcolm is the illustrator. If anyone does buy it, I'd be so grateful for a fair and honest review on Amazon. It's an ABC book geared for ages 3 to 6 (give or take a year or two).

I am so thrilled for you. I had a taste of what the book was about, and I know it will be a super seller once word gets out. I loved the story and can't wait to see the illustrations. I will buy one as soon as I can.

Very happy for you, Shann. :superhappy

Many blessings.... :thumbs

Shann,
How fabulous is that!!! Mega congratulations for "taking the plunge." May this be the first of many. :D What a coincidence that I learned about Createspace during a two hour writing and marketing seminar today.

:superhappy :superhappy :clap :clap :clap

Blessings,

Thanks Lillian. Amy helped me almost totally with the layout. I think I probably could have done it on my own since it's quite self-explanatory, but my anxiety lowered my tolerance level. Eventually I asked Amy to just take over for me. She even had to hit the submit button because I couldn't bring myself to do it. Because it was a picture book it was a little more complicated. Amy is working on converting it to an eBook too for me. I think the layout of an adult book with just text wouldn't be as complicated. Now that I've done it, I may try to do some more of my picture books. Hopefully next time it won't be as scary/ :D :thankssign

I'll definitely be buying a copy for my daughter's birthday in May!
