I also didn't realize this board was here and said my hello's on the "Newbie" board. :D As you get to know me you will come to understand that even at 45 I am a natural blonde LOL and somedays it really is a disadvantage. I'm so happy to be here. I have one article on the board, it's been there for a little bit. I so appreciate the members responses and suggestions. The article is called The Boxes In My Mind. You can read it here if you like and share your thoughts with me.http://www.faithwriters.com/article-det ... ?id=147008 I also just wrote my first devotional and have posted it in the critique circle and haven't figured out if I can link that one here or not. The title of it is The Lord's Prayer Devotional. I also entered my first writing challenge and I think I will explode before Thursday gets here. I don't expect to place but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :D I'm so excited to be here. I have dreamed of writing nearly all my life but never seemed to have time to be real serious about it. Three years ago I was in a work related auto accident, I had to have 4 surgeries trying to fix my spine but it was not to be. God has other plans. So now I'm home all the time and finally can get serious about my writing. I really thought there was no place for me to turn in order to get help and then I found FaithWriters. I can't tell you how excited and happy I am to be here. I so look forward to making many friends. I'm working my way through reading articles also and have really read some great ones. Aside from very nice people here there is talent til the cup is overflowing. Love it! May God Bless you all and since today is Mother's Day, a huge Happy Mothers Day to all of you moms!

Just found your devotional on the Lord's Prayer. You can post the link in forums. The easiest way, but I believe there are other ways, is to go to the page of the devotional, highlight the address bar (www.etc.) right click and copy. Then return to the body of text in the forum, right click and paste. I find it easier using two browser windows; one with the forum open and one with the article open

Bless you and welcome to FW 500; Graham

Thank you for all the nice welcome responses. I already love it here so much that I rarely turn the computer off. I keep checking in to see if there is a new post, new critique, something new to do. :D Addictions are usually bad, but this is an addiction I believe I can live with. :)

Hello! I'm a bit late to the welcoming party, but I'm from Missouri too, St. Louis metro area. Welcome!

Thank you for the welcome. We are not really that far away from each other. We should be visiting St. Louis sometime this summer as I have family that lives there and daughter is having a fit wanting to go to the zoo. :D

I was just there today! I LOVE the St. Louis Zoo. If you're willing to walk a bit, as far as parking is concerned, you certainly can't beat FREE. :) One tip if you haven't been there (though if you aren't that far, I'm guessing you have been there) is to get there early if you don't want to pay for parking. Also, most of the things you have to pay for once inside the zoo (Children's zoo, stingrays, etc.) are free for the first hour the zoo is open, which would be 8am to 9am.
