First e-book

Postby Writetrack » Sat Aug 25, 2012 8:19 pm

A couple years ago I taught an interactive workshop, Writing is Not for Wimps!, at the FaithWriters conference. I talked about finding the strength to overcome six main obstacles we face as writers, including "Lack of Support," "Procrastination," and "Time and Energy. " I got lots of great feedback on the class, so I've compiled the information into e-book form.

Here's a brief description: "You have a passion to write. But passion alone won’t make you successful. There are plenty of challenges that may frustrate you and tempt you to give up on your passion altogether. Rise up and kick that writing wimp to the curb, and emerge as the strong and successful writer God intended you to be."

If you're interested in checking it out, it's available through the FaithWriters e-book store here: http://ebooks.faithwriters.com/ebook-details.php?id=750. You can also snag it from my blog, at www.on-the-write-track.blogspot.com. My goal is to bless and encourage a few writers, give a few tips, and make a few bucks, too. :-)

It is in PDF form, which means you'll probably have to read it on your computer or print it out (it's 25 pages). Nothing fancy, but I think it turned out pretty well, and I actually had fun putting it together.

Sold my first copy within 24 hours of putting it in the FaithWriters e-book store - I thought that was cool. I'm also promoting it on Facebook and Twitter, and I'll be blogging about it next week. I think it all comes down to marketing, for sure. As the FaithWriters newsletter writer, I also hope to mention the e-book store next month and possibly list a few new additions, just to promote it a bit more. If you have an e-book in the store right now and would like to be mentioned in the newsletter, shoot me a private message.

:D

Thanks, Kenn. And, by the way, I think what you're doing with the e-book publication thing is awesome. If I hear of anyone wanting to self-publish a fiction e-book, I will definitely point them in your direction. :D
