Thanks, Bea.

*blush*

This one has always been one of my favorites. I wrote it for the Faithwriters Weekly Challenge during the "Genre" theme. This was my entry for Science Fiction.

Hi Kenn, I took a look at your blog and have read quite a lot of your writings now. I have to say I am both impressed and inspired. I love your poetic style and find it impossible not to read it to the end. This one is just as good as the others.

You'll need to teach this formatting trick because a lot of my poetry also needs formatting in similar ways; but if I have understood it sounds quite simple, if time consuming.

It appears you have created a 'picture box' of appropriate size, with no fill and no outline so that it is invisible, and then placed it at the beginning of each line. Very clever.

Bless ya ingenuity, Graham
May we all get eyes to see and ears to hear,
A Revelation of His Word, crystal clear.
Admitting our need to be drawn in,
Less of self, more of Him.

My prayer for us all.
God bless us with the Revelation of His Word, Graham

Hiya, Graham.

Thank you for the kind words regarding my poems. I'm glad you enjoyed them.

Yup... you're exactly right. I use 10pt. as my base font size and the average blank space is 3 pixels wide. I created an entire series of blank graphics ranging from 3 x 3 pixels to 3 x 36 pixels in incremental lengths of 3 numbered 1-12. All I have to do is use the spacebar to find the proper distance from the left edge and then replace them with the appropriate graphic.

The only drawback is this space will not change if the reader switches to a larger typeface, but there's no gettin' around that.

See ya.
