Okay, Deb, I thought perhaps you just announced it early because I knew the other day you said the announcement would come at the first of the year. Jan. 1 is will be my one year anniversary as a 500 member, by the way.

This is great! I just subscribed! Even the Writer's Digest website charges $19.95 (or something like that) for a 1-year subscription, so this really is a great deal.

I told my 19-year-old daughter that I was going to subscribe and she said, "Cool! I've been wanting to subscribe to that." (She is an amazing writer. . . [mother speaking here.] I've been trying to get her involved in the Writing Challenges, but she is so busy that hasn't made the time. She'll have time during her semester break from college, but of course there won't be any Challenges during that time. Too bad!)

Well, I JUST ordered Writer's Digest in October for my son's magazine sale at school. I can tell you, I didn't pay only $13.96! (more like $20!). Oh well, it was for a good cause and helped my son get some MP3 speakers he wanted.
