Inside Timmy's Mind: Enter at Your Own Risk

Postby Deb Porter » Wed May 14, 2014 10:07 am

Hi everyone.

Some of you know by now that I have finally launched my own publishing house, with the first of the Challenge books (Mixed Blessings Books: Simple Pleasures) hopefully on sale at the end of May/start of June.

But the very first book released by Breath of Fresh Air Press is by FaithWriters' favourite comedian, Timmy Boyle.

Tim has very generously performed at the last three FaithWriters Conferences, leaving his audience literally laughing out loud (if you have heard Tim in action, you will know about that whole LOL thing).

Where did I discover Tim? In the Writing Challenge. He made me laugh, which led to me inviting him to speak at the conference, which led to us talking a lot at the last three conferences about the need for him to have something to leave behind whenever he performs.

That led to offering him the first Breath of Fresh Air Press publishing contract (yes, Timmy was my guinea pig . . . poor thing!) and finally, to the release of his book at the end of April. (Woo-hoo!)

With Tim having a book launch and signing at the Stirling-Rawdon Public Library this Thursday (in Ontario, Canada), I wanted to celebrate this event with a book sale. So until Monday, 19 May, Inside Timmy's Mind is on sale, and with a flat rate of $4.50 for shipping and handling to the United States, Canada, UK, and Australia. (Low rates for other corners of the world.)

So if you need a good laugh, check out Inside Timmy's Mind. It's the perfect time to buy a copy.

(And don't ever underestimate the value of entering Challenge or the Page Turner. I am always looking out for fresh talent.)

Love, Deb

This book is awesome. I just got it and it is on my bed as we speak. Every time I get a moment to myself, I pick it up and read a story. It is filled with good Christian humor and makes me smile. After reading a story or two, my days brighten as I go about mundane tasks thinking of his brilliant tales.

Inside Timmy's Mind is an adventure all should take! :superhappy
God Bless the beasts and the children

Children are our tomorrow
Keep them daily from the sorrow

Yay!!! Thanks Rachel.

I've just sent you an invoice from PayPal. Let me know if you don't get it. It really is the best time to be buying a copy while we are having our Celebrate Timmy Sale.

Made me laugh, too. AND it also has ten fun cartoons of Timmy throughout. Lots to enjoy.

Love that picture. I have to admit, there are days when I wear a robe very similar to that one, and my hair looks even worse! One day I ordered food to be delivered and I think I scared the poor delivery boy away, because he never delivered my orders again! I always get a different one now. I asked if he had quit, and they said no, so I guess I looked a fright!

It's the two pointy fingers that remind me of my painful attempts to use the keyboard. With the speed of my typing it's a wonder I get any writing done.

I'll jump on this bandwagon too, I'll get my order in by the end of the week-end.

Congratulations, Deb and may Breath of Fresh Air fill your sails and be a wonderful success.

Blessings, Graham.
May we all get eyes to see and ears to hear,
A Revelation of His Word, crystal clear.
Admitting our need to be drawn in,
Less of self, more of Him.

My prayer for us all.
God bless us with the Revelation of His Word, Graham

Laughing out loud, Lillian. He may have needed post traumatic stress counselling.  (He would if he had seen me first thing in the morning!)

Thanks Shari and Graham. Sale ends on Monday, but if you are running a little late, just let me know. I'll hold the price for you.

And thanks for the encouragement, Graham. It has been a huge learning curve as Tim's book was not quite like laying out a novel. Like Timmy's mind, it's all over the place (but in a good way). So I had to learn a lot . . . FAST. But it was the very best book to start with for that reason, and also for the fact that Timmy is the best advertisement for his book. I'm hoping to bring him over here to do a little promotion and touring next year. I just need to become an Entertainment Sponsor through the Immigration Department.

The more I get done these days, the more there is to do. I only freak out occasionally now. Image
