Kiddo. Sounds to me like you need a vacation. The rains are about over here in the NorthWest......

But really.. Aren't the helpers just that, hired help, to do the things they are told by the client??? If you are placed in charge of that I would start cracking down a little more. If they are there to care for your G-parents, then they should be doing their job right.

Will keep you in prayer. Stand tall in this troubled time.

Oh... and Shann, I didn't even notice it was the 13th until Kiddo said something about it after the fact. It was a bad week.

Found this on the Yahoo news; it's about Albert Einstein's work ethic, and I feel a lot of it applies to us writers:http://www.businessinsider.com/albert-e ... hic-2015-2

Aww don't call pup a goat!

Day hasn't ended yet. They had to call an ambulance for grandpa. They think he had a stroke or mini stroke.

and it continues...

So my grandfather did actually have a mini stroke. They're going to put him in his own room after neuro sees him if they haven't already.

we're continuing to fight with the main Aide who just continues to argue and fight and complain.

They're all gonna kill me. If the stress doesn't first.

Tell their agency about the problems and have them replaced. If they are causing stress for you or anyone else in the household, they are definately not doing their job right. If anything happens to the old man it could be seen as neglegence on their part.

Will continue in prayer, keep us informed on how Pop's doing.

well that's the thing, they aren't through an agency but we privately hired them because the people we had last time through an agency did horrible, wouldn't come when they were supposed to and we got charged for when they didn't show up.

I don't think it's all the aides but just the one who thinks she's in charge.

It's a full moon. She's gone nuts. AHHHHHH

Yes. Thankfully she was alone too.

My grandfather is causing issues in the hospital and won't let them run tests.

Oh Becky, I'm so sorry. Someone is definitely taking a run at you. Don't you let that devil win for one second. You are stronger than you think and this will be something that only makes you stronger (unless it kills you, but then you'll be in Heaven having a good chuckle with my mom  I'll be totally freaking out, but Mom will start telling you all kinds of stories about me.) But I digress, how unusual for me.

I can't imagine how hard this all is. I know that your family originally hired the aide and it's probably not your decision to get rid of her, but if it's something you feel strongly about, you can convince those making the decisions to do the right thing. You've been right there all along, helping to care for him and I bet they will value your opinion. Especially if you can explain your POV calmly.

I bet you can also convince your grandfather to go ahead with the testing. Does he have a health care proxy? It would be a huge weight for you, but from what I see, I think you could be a great one or maybe help someone else with the decisions like your parents or grandmother. It's not an easy situation for sure and I'm so sorry things have been so bumpy. Hugs and prayers.

Two words to say to a non-compliant employee--in this case the aide: You're Fired!

When someone agrees to work for you, you are the boss, and they must obey. If they don't like it, they can either go work for someone else or go into another field of work. Or get an attitude adjustment. Or all three plus a swift kick in the pants.
