This one?

If so, he had a knife. Some reports say two. But this is the first time I've seen the video, and I agree, I don't think it was necessary. Surprisingly enough, this one didn't spark things further, too much.

I looked through my history but couldn't find it. It doesn't sound right because the shooting happened outside the police car.

Hey all!

Becky, I know how it feels to get no response to a post. It happens to all of us. :D

Shann, good for you for reading your story in church! I'm sure God will use you to speak to others who are struggling.

Pup, those girls sound adorable! I'm sure they're keeping you young. :thumbs

Leah, I'm so happy to hear that you got a new job! Awesome! It's beautiful when birth occurs naturally, but it's so true that C-sections are sometimes a real life saver. I'm thankful that surgery is as safe as it is.

Allison, It's good to hear that things are calming down there. I'm praying that God will begin to heal the racial tension.

Deejay, That's wonderful that Silas is back home! Praise God!

Oo! I agree with Alison! Pup is so nutty he's bananas!

:D

So, Saturday I leave to go spend a week with friends. I'm getting excited.

Oh and it looks like I'll be filling in at the daycare some afternoons in September and October.

I hope you have a great time connecting with your friends!

Filling in at the daycare sounds fun too. I love hanging out with little kids. They're my favourite kind of people. :D

A-Men. Thank you, Becky, for your prayer. I look forward to read about your time with your friends.

Pup, I hope you didn't mind me teasing you; I didn't know July was a tough month for you. Maybe Pup is banana nut bread. :?:

Alison, Thank you for sharing the video. It's like the cop just shot him for no reason. I'd like to see it from the police car camera. I haven't seen or read much coverage of it. This guy has an interesting take on it- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_icVWKO4_o

I think that was the one. I didn't see a knife and couldn't hear everything being said.

Happy Dance! Pup is a nutty banana! :tongue

Happy Dance for going off with friends and for opportunity to work at daycare. Maybe there will be a little slug for you too,

I might not get to go with my friends after all. One of them is sick as they don't want me to get sick too.

Just to be clear, that video was NOT the Mike Brown shooting. That was about a week later. The man had knives, which all witnesses confirm. It's the rest of it (what he did with the knives, if he thereatened the police, etc.) where it gets murky.

They think they may have audio now, of the shots fired, but that's it. And everyone is saying that really says nothing. (So WHY is is news?)

Also, N. Korea now says the Ferguson, MO is the "graveyard of human rights." Whoop de do! I find it extremely ironic that NORTH KOREA is choosing to pick on this incident.

Becky, that's a bummer you didn't meet up with your friends.

Yes, we all can be funny! Drop in any time Wheeliegirl!

Little Bird is relaxing in Oregon. We were talking about birds and how long they live. From the recesses of my factoid brain I heard that eagles lived 200 years. We both searched online. No such record. Eagles live 20-50 years. I have no clue where I heard 200 years.

Reflecting on God’s creation: Psalm 19
I spent a few minutes outside observing God’s creation. I saw His beautiful flowers and roses as the sun beat upon my head. The wind was another evidence of His power, yet a gentle brush of His hand. He gave us trees for sheltering shade and for fruit; for the birds who perch and nest there. “In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.” Psalm 19:4b God is grander—more awesome, He pitches a tent for the sun!
