Did I hear my name?

I pray everyone's aches and pains go away! Speaking of pain, I'm having a cyst removed behind my ear Monday. I'm sure you all wanted to know.

Well (deep subject) I finished revising my YA novel and prayerfully am seeking my next project(s). I wrote a new song--no music yet, just the lyrics. I had joined a Christian songwriters forum and received a helpful critique. The song is about life's storms and how I Need Jesus.

Hey everyone. It looks like we have a couple new faces since I've been on last. I miss you all, but am so sick it's hard to keep up with much of anything. My health has continued to fail and now I'm mostly homebound and not able to do much at home either.

But I saw my specialist back east a couple weeks ago and she has a couple ideas of what is making me so much sicker and... they are things with treatments! I'm waiting for my insurance back here at home to put everything through that the out-of-system doctor requested, but I'm hopeful that eventually she can get me functioning a little better.

But when I was back east I was able to spend a little time with my boyfriend Andy. We were both pretty sick, but we sat out on his family's pier a lot and chatted while we watched the river and birds.

In the last few months I've been able to do some crafting from my recliner. My mental fatigue rules out things like writing, but I've been crocheting and recently rediscovered my childhood love of coloring. :P I've been coloring ornate designs and making them into greeting cards, and just made a giraffe wall hanging artwork thing for a friend. I can't draw or paint, but I've had fun with mandala coloring pages or mixing clip art bits on PhotoShop.

Leah, the job schedule sounds exhausting. I know how hard it would be to switch to a different job, though. I hope you can figure something out.

Becky, are you feeling any better?

Pup, the landlord situation seems sticky and frustrating. Hope you can figure out how to deal with him without going crazy (more crazy?) or getting evicted.

Kip, welcome to the group. Sounds like we are neighbors! :-)

Jay, I liked your song lyrics. Cool.

Toni, what is your book about? Congrats on getting an agent! I was starting that process two years ago and then got too ill to finish it, but hope to someday.

Shann, do you think your neighbor moved away because he felt not safe there? Were you freaked out after the stabbing? I think it would make me nervous to know someone was out to get my neighbor.

So true... it is sooo much easier writing someone elses book.

:heehee

(praying you start feeling better and don't need another hospital visit.)

Hiya Kip, and welcome to the site and the boards. Feel free to stop by anytime, specially if you are as wacky as the rest of THEM. ( but not me  )

I'm not really sick anymore, just stressed.

I guess what people don't understand is that my grandmother stresses dealing with my grandfather and I stress dealing with both of them. No offense to them, I love them dearly and I don't want to sound like a horrible person but my grandfather has advanced Parkinson's disease, nearly blind, nearly deaf, hallucinates, panics etc. and my grandmother is harder to deal with.

It's odd, I told my grandmother it seems as though Grandpa has 3 personalities, Himself, what the Parkinson's does to him and then what the Hallucinations does to him.

Sigh.

Well, if you're taking prayer requests, I have a couple, though I might put them in the prayer request forum as well. These are both from my roommates C.J. and Diane; they are people they know.
The first one is a fellow named Jonathan; he has schizophrenia, the voices in his head are getting worse, and his medications are not really helping. The second one is for a lady named Cindy; he needs to get off heroin, because there's a stronger, deadlier form out there, and we don't want her getting into that.

Though C.J and Diane were at my church yesterday --my pastor's wife Danielle is a groomer, and she was clipping our puppy Brandon's nails--and while there, they put in a prayer request for Jonathan and Cindy, they still want you all to pray for them too. C.J. and Diane think you guys are the greatest prayer warriors out there, next to my church, and specifically asked me to tell you to pray. Thanks loads!

Oh Becky, when it rains it pours, eh? I'm so sorry. I do understand your grandma worrying and stressing which makes you do the same because you love them both and you probably feel simultaneously overwhelmed and helpless. My Mom's best friend is not doing well and on Thursday which was their 49 wedding anniversary her hubby was in the hospital getting a shunt put in to remove fluid from the brain. Her biggest worries is not being there for him. She teared up when she told me it was the first time she wouldn't be with him during surgery. I felt stressed because she was there when Mom died, but there isn't anything I can do to take Mom's place and my dad is a stranger--he totally changed his entire personality after remarrying. It's amazing how abusers isolate their victims and there is nothing we can do. I didn't mean to ramble on (but hey it's me what do you expect?) Just wanted to let you know I get it on some level and am praying for you and your family and your friend and her family. I'm always here if you need to text any time day or night. Hugs

Thanks for your prayers! My surgery to remove the cyst went well (June 16). It's a little swollen yesterday and we were concerned . A little bleeding which doctor says is normal. My regular nurse says she doesn't see any signs of infection which reassuring.

On the creative front, I wrote a new song "Jesus I Need You." I had posted the lyrics to my song on the Christian Songwriters Forum for critique. I got some input and improved on it. One guy, Bryan, asked if I wish to collaborate with him. I agreed. The next thing I know, he sends me my song in a recording with the music to my song; sung by Bryan.

Way cool Jay. Have to send it out to each of us, if you don't want to put it online quite yet...Would love to hear it. I have written a few songs, but can never seem to find someone to do the music. Sang most of them at church, and though I can't sing worth a hoot, I know the tune goes well with them, BUT.......

SHANN!!! That was way too short of a post for you to call rambling. :tongue

DJ.. added to the prayer group here. Sad. Drugs of any kind are bad and can destroy a person body, mind, and soul. As for the voices... I still haven't found a way to get rid of mind, but will keep him in prayer. But you can tell him for me... the tin-foil hat does NOT work.
