Yaaaaaaa for Kiddo, getting to play in her snow. How much did you get?

Jay, I never did like that show, too many flash backs explaining everything and the slow motion fight scenes.. give me a break. And the modern remake was just as bad. :tongue

At least the fake blood in the Eastwood westerns looked almost convincing.

Ahh, you nailed it Pup thanks for the chuckle. My mom used to get so mad at me. I have really thick hair and when I was little it was down to my butt. I couldn't brush the back properly and would get a horrible snarled, matted mess. She even broke hairbrushes on me, band that was back in the day when they were made out of ceramic not that cheap plastic. Because red hair wasn't common and because mine was so long, people would stop me and comment about it. I even had one guy offer me $50 bucks if I cut it and gave it to him for a wig. That was a lot of money in the 70s for a ten year old. :D I didn't do it though the next time Mom tried to untangle me and threatened to chop it all off, I kind of rethought my decision  .

Now I did! Super cute!

I did a few deliveries myself over the last two nights - one I accidentally caught, because the doctor was walking slowly down the hall and the patient couldn't stop herself from pushing. Oops.

Pretty tired from all that.

Here's the info for the conference: http://www.occwf.org/ Deejay, if you just want to attend Saturday, it's an all-day thing with LOTS of good writing advice. The last time I went I was really impressed with how much information they crammed in. And there are some very accomplished writers, agents, and even publishers who go. It's $135 for the day, but they may have scholarships available...or PM me...I may be able to help. It's in Santa Ana.

I'm debating whether to enter the Challenge. Not my favorite topic, but I have an inkling of an idea. I have 5 hours to go.

Beyond that, I'm just trying to rest up. Ryan and I are getting away to a B&B on Friday. Thanks, Pup, for thinking we'd be good at it. I have some grand ideas; just need to put them into action.

Night, all!

You guys are too kind. Thank you.

Now can someone else take all this attention please? My daughter gave us all her stomach bug and I guarantee you'll wanna be looking anywhere but at me.

I'm accepting the challenge to be off facebook for a few days during Lent (even though I don't observe it). The challenge is for you to sacrifice something during this time of spiritual renewal. It's time to refocus our hearts on Christ and His desires/plans for us.

Congrats Kara on baby!
Congrats Toni for entry!

I recently finished the audio book: "Bonhoefer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy" by Eric Metaxas an excellent biography and I learned more about Hitler and how he destroyed the Christian church in Germany. I liked the author so much, I decided read all of his books. I checked out his book "Seven Men" which is a bio of 7 great men of faith and I just finished it.

So many congratulations here….well done everyone on your achievements.

We finally had the awnings fitted over the back porch and stairs. One more job done. Just waiting for a fumigator to spray inside and out for wasps, ants, cockroaches, spiders and rodents. Then we can finally have the horrible old airconditioners taken out of the walls and have the walls filled in and prepared for external painting. Almost there.

We fly out to Hobart next Friday for 5 days for my birthday. Can't wait.

Oh…and I received Deb's anthologies permission form for future releases. It's a shame my Heros story won't be printed but that's life. It's prompted me to updated my bio and refocus on my writing future after a long break. Having Mum's poetry book finally published for Dad has taken some outside pressures off, namely siblings. I'll see how my health goes before I dive into finishing my next book. The first 5 chapters have been written for quite awhile. The rest is in my head still. I would like to publish this book and at least one more. but I'll see.

I hope the weather is more pleasant over there. Autumn is certainly in the air here.

Take care all.

Chrissy

Pup, you have to go to that place you hate called Facebook. If Kara is on your friend list, you'll be able to see beautiful Ember Sky She was born on March 2.

Chrissy why won't your Heroes story be included?
