haha, yup, it being my birthday today was an April Fool's day joke. And Jay, I said I expected that many FWers would
not be fooled because we always sing happy birthday to me and the other August birthdays during the conference.

But I got quite a few of those people, even.
My day was sort of... so-so. Church was a little hard because one of the little Deaf kids at the school Holly works at died in a car accident this weekend. She was only nine. I didn't sleep much so had a bit of trouble getting through the service and then when I tried to take a nap the family decided that was the time they needed to do everything loud that needed doing. And now my teeth the dentist worked on are starting to hurt. Last time I got fillings it was fine for two days and then they started hurting horribly and kept it up for a full month. This time it's been almost a week since I had the work done. The delay in the nerve pain doesn't make sense to me. I get that my body doesn't handle nerve trauma well, but why have no pain for several days?
And I told you about the skin graft they want to do on my gums, right?
But on the bright side, I actually accomplished all of my goals for Spring Break! Taking and extra week off worked well. I have lots more writing stuff to do, but got the top of my list done:
* Fix shoulder
* Rest
* Revise my 2nd PeP story for the orphan plane book
* Re-write the end of
Reaching Sky* Write the Deaf Mission Proposal
And I got my laptop. Not sure how long the rest is going to help since I'm back in a not sleeping much phase, but otherwise I'm feeling ready to start work Tues. Glad I have tomorrow to sleep.
Have I mentioned that my cat acts like she has fibro sometimes? I don't know if it's worse now or if I just notice it more because she's inside, but she has a lot of days when it really hurts when I touch her. She'll ask to be petted but then yelp and snap at me when I touch her. I've looked her over and can't find anything wrong with her skin or muscles or anything. She has one front ankle (wrist?) that looks all twisted and if she jumps off the bed then it collapses under her and she lands on her chin. It almost looks like it's been broken but I've never seen her limping on it. Wonder if it could be arthritis. She seems to walk fine and when we're playing she twists around and bats vigorously with all her limbs. Her vision and smell seem some impaired, too, but her hearing is still great. She's only 12 so she is getting older but not quite
that old.... I think I might take her to the vet just to see what he says, though.
