Sure wish I had a Hardee's biscuit about now--sounds so good--Just one with a very little margarine (I know--I know margarine's not healthy, but my guy is not doing dairy these days) and some honey on it. Yum! I promise--I'll eat just one!

We are having an almost perfect day today.

* The temperature is between 70-72 degrees - that's perfect!

* The humidity/dewpoint is low - that's perfect!

* The sky is blue with not a cloud in sight - that's perfect!

* The left-over snow piles are melting quickly - that's perfect!

* The robins, blue jays, and cardinals are building nests - that's perfect!

* The mail delivery included no bills - that's perfect!

* My afternoon nap was nice - that's perfect!

The day's only imperfection is that there is no air movement outside. A perfect day would include a 10-12 mph south breeze to receive an "A+" grade. Today will only get an "A" grade. That's still a pretty good score.

At least snow isn't falling as it did a week ago. That would surely score a "D-". Maybe, just maybe, winter is over for a few months.

Most of the ice floes and small chunks of ice melted out of our lake about an hour ago.

A few minutes ago a speed boat was launched and the idiots in the boat are preparing to water ski. They just hafta be the first one out there in spite of the 33 degree water temperature.

There are big pieces of driftwood and debris floating out there that could capsize a speeding boat or injure/kill a skier. What a bunch of brainless morons!!!

It has been a perfect day, weather-wise. I have a fan going in my livingroom right now. My former sister-in-law posted pictures of her girls throwing snowballs in bare feet. I've been places (high altitudes) where I could throw snow in June or July, but usually had on some kind of foot wear -- either sandals or tennis shoes for hiking. But my nieces were in the local school yard.

I tried to loose some weight before my surgery because one friend kept telling me how much easier the recovery would be the more weight I lost. I set a personal goal, but did not reach it. When I got home from the hospital, the scale showed that I had not lost any weight, but now that the water retention from the IV has subsided and most of the swelling has gone from the incision area, the scale says I lost 10 pounds -- to the goal that I had been trying to reach. That puts me at the low point of my weight loss from last summer and fall when I lost about 40 pounds. But then I yo-yo'd the last 5 on and off, mostly on. Then after I was in the hospital in February, I craved meat and other high iron food and put on another 5-10. Now if I can only keep going and loose another 20-35 pounds, I might actually no longer be considered medically obese. :thumbs Even better, t-shirts that used to be slightly snug, feel a lot more comfortable and less self-conscience now.

Well, I have a few things I need to do for tomorrow's Sunday school class before my ride picks me up for the Single Bible Study in 1/2 hour. TTLY

What a gorgeous day! We had our annual Lutheran Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing alumni luncheon and program, today. It's always such a delight to catch up with classmates. Then my best friend from training days and I, with our husbands, drove down to Lake City where friend's grandson had a baseball game. Such a lovely visit we had, and our husbands are like two peas in a pod, enjoying some of the same interests.

It was a perfect day for reconnecting and taking a road trip. Reminds me of this:

My son and my very beautiful Granddaughter, going to a father daughter dance. Tally just turned 15 in March. She is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

Put your mouse on the photo and move it around to see her.

Your granddaughter is beautiful !

Is this your son who went to Israel on a missions trip or to study? Is he a pastor now?

Carole, you are blessed, for sure. What a lovely girl! I remember how much I enjoyed the photos of this family along with their posts during their time in Israel. Makes me want to take a trip, there, too, while we're still able!

Okay, time for some fun. I got this from Joanney:

Image

She wrote to me: "Brandilyn Collins posted this on Facebook looking for creative captions asking what kind of character would live in this house. Reminded me of the book idea you suggested of houses that look like faces. This one would surely qualify."

Your assignment:
1. write a creative caption for the photo - and/or
2. explain what sort of character might be living in this house

Ready, set, GO!

This is fun! Got any more, Edy?
