Carol, how far do you need to go to the hospital? I will pray for your pain to ease up before then. Does your aunt have any other family near by? I'll be praying that all will find peace and comfort during this time of loss.

Maybe I can even market it and write a book on the procedure, perhaps post it on U TUBE and make me some money on every click. Ummmmmmmmmmmm, Don I think you may have something here I will let you know what I come up with and will give you a percentage of the income.

I will keep you posted!

Yes, please do keep me posted. Meanwhile, I'll have my lawyer people contact your lawyer people just to keep the ball rolling.

Contracts need to be formed...a business and marketing plan developed...a corporation formed...stock certificates issued...and corporate officers appointed.

I won't ask for an unreasonable percentage during the start-up period. A non-negotiable 50% of the pre-tax gross should work for me.

Debby, I could have used your personal joint adjustment plan for the past three days, but for now, just resting has helped my hips. You know I always delight to see you on the porch.

Carol, I'm praying for you right now. . .
I've had both kidney pain and sciatic pain. The longer I list, the more pains I add. :)

Don, your Mother's Day dinner was a very thoughtful gift to your wife. I know, whenever she thinks about it, she knows how blessed she is to have you in her life.

Our daughter and husband and our younger grandson spent the afternoon with us yesterday and took us out for a late lunch. Those are days to cherish. I remember when grandson Nolan was brought home from the hospital in my arms, and now he's 6'1"--has to bend way over to hug me. He'll be a sophomore at Western Carolina next year.

Edy, I always enjoy your encouragement.

My dear Mariane, I'm hoping your hand is better today.

Laurie, I'm glad you have that chore behind you now.

Joanney, I hope you enjoyed your Mother's Day with your boys.

Arpy, You're one smart cookie--and a sweet one, too.

Is FW really, really slow for anyone besides me today? And does anyone put the s after http?

Y'all have a good week.

More than faithwriters is "slow," today. I haven't been able to get back on amazon, even after a restart for the computer. Something needs resuscitation - where did that toilet plunger go? :P

Praying for a special measure of God's comfort for you and your aunt's family, GreenLeaves. :grouphug2 We love you!

Carol, I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. :( Also sorry to hear your pain wasn't letting up this afternoon. Must be agonizing for you. :(

Verna, nice hearing about your family coming for visits. They sound like a lovely group. :)

My mom and I got things done today, but another issue came up with the upcoming farm closing. Hopefully it will still work out. I'll just be glad for my mom when it's behind her because I know it weighs on her mind.

I think this has been a question(s) that was on here before but I never made note of the answers so if you don't mind I would like to ask it again.

What version of the Bible do you prefer to read?

What commentary do you use?

What are your favorite Bible teaching authors?

I will get the ball rolling here

King James

Vernon McGee's and Matthew Henry

Charles Spurgeon,C.S. Lewis, A.W. Tozer Jerry Bridges, David Wilkerson, Hal Lindsey, Charles Stanley

These are who I read often . . . some of their books I have read over and over. I have a lot more that I like and read but these must be my favorites.

Thanks and have a good day . . . I am going to go see the grand kids today . . . my have they grown!

An email from Cassie:

I've been in the hospital since 5/9. Today I had another
TEE--transesophogeal echocardiogram, where I swallow a tube with a
camera on the end to look at my heart from the inside. They said I have
infection in my heart in 2 different places, one of them in the aortic
valve, the other in the heart itself. :( The heart surgeon came and
would like to do surgery next week. No, no, no, I say. His reasoning is
that he thinks there is infected scar tissue inside the heart due to
perma caths being in there and if infections keep recurring the only way
to stop it is to cut the tissue out. I told him, I had family and
friends that knew how to pray. And I told him of Ed's miracle and mine
from the last heart surgery. He said if I wanted to try antibiotics
again (been on them this time for 2 weeks already and would need another
6 probably) that was okay but he didn't think it would work. (He's a
SURGEON, remember ;) ). BUT I know the power of my Holy God and I know
what the Word says--I WAS healed by the stripes of Jesus, God's benefits
are salvation AND healing, if I believe God hears my prayers then I have
what I've asked for. Amen? So I ask you, my friends and family, for
diligent prayers that this round of antibiotics will be the end of the
infections so I can avoid heart surgery, for the diligent prayers of a
righteous man/woman availeth much. Thanks, :) C

Just a quick note to update Carol's status. Carol was admitted to the hospital last night with severe kidney pain. This a.m. the urologist came and brought us up to date on what is going on. The kidney has several stones in it which she is unable to pass, causing some blockage. The current plans are to put in a stent sometime later this a.m. to relieve the pressure. Some time later she will come back as an outpatient and have a tube inserted thru her back directly into the kidney thru which they will then insert a laser and zap the little suckers that are causing all the ruckus so she can pass them. The tube will then remain in for a while until all the junk is drained off and the kidney returns to normal size. We just would ask that God would be guiding the doctors as they provide their expertise in this endeavor and that His healing power would be evident in Carol's body at this time. Thanks be to Him for all He has been and is doing on our behalf and many thanks for your prayers on her behalf. She would ask for increased prayer because they have not been able to control the pain very much.

God love this precious friend! Marty, please tell her we're all praying for pain relief and wisdom from on High for the doctors as they do this procedure. I'm also praying that she'll be protected against any and all infections in the hospital, especially the dreaded MRSA infection which can play havoc on a patient.

Please give her our love and thank you, Marty, for posting this about Carol.

Change of plans. The surgery has been postponed until tomorrow. The doctors are insisting on a heart stress test today at 2:00 pm. Then tomorrow sometime they will put in the stent. Thank you for your prayers on my behalf.

Praying, Carol. So glad Marty posted on your behalf earlier, too. Can't imagine the pain you're in. Glad there is something they can do, but I realize you have a lot to go through yet. :(

Jumping in to stand in the gap with the rest of the porch prayer pals, Carol. Uff da! - reading Marty's post makes me hurt for you - I'm so glad you are under medical observation where they can intervene as needed to relieve what must be miserable distress. [Too bad Don's and Debby's do-it-yourself whacking doesn't smash kidney stones ASAP! ] :hugs2
