Don, I think the only time we fully make a complete recovery will be when we get our new bodies in heaven. I was in my twenties when I cracked a bone in my foot and I still feel the effects of it.

Debby, I know the feeling of dreading the task of cleaning out things to sort what you can get rid of, but enjoying the results. I took a van load to the church garage sale this afternoon, and another to a consignment store that raises money for an orphanage in Haiti a few months ago. I really need to spend some time tonight getting more things for the church garage sale.

We got a cute email from my great nephew who has a two week old son. Their 3 year old daughter went to her room and got a picture of Jesus with the little children and took it to show her little brother..."This Jesus."

Laurie, the Women's Conference was absolutely wonderful, but I was drained afterwards. I came home and did nothing the rest of the day except sleep and read all of 1 Corinthians. :D

I'm about to give up on computers. After getting a new Dell, I found it was not compatable with Outlook Express so Tim put another Email server on and it was awful, awful, terrible! I tried it for 3 weeks, then knew I had to get something else. Now I have to rebuild my address book because I forgot to save it before getting rid of the first awful server. All these changes leave me breathless and wanting to stay away from the computer as much as possible! I've lost Emails that have come to me before I had a chance to read them and now T is so busy I can't possibly ask him for help.

Speaking of him, his final custody trial begins Thursday. They subpoenaed John but I asked them not to ask me because it would be too highly emotional for me. There will be things brought out about both T and his ex that I don't need to hear, so I've asked to be spared the worst. It's gotten so ugly that I can't believe it. Their oldest son will be ready in case the judge wants to meet with him in his chambers. Actually, this dear boy vounteered for this, said he thought the judge should know how it looks from one of the kids' viewpoint. Please pray that it will be civil, and most of all that God's will will be done. At the center of it all are two precious boys who shouldn't have to go through all this.

Carol, I'm so sorry to learn about Karen's father. My goodness, what a lot has been piled on her plate. I'll be praying for him and also for Karen.

Joanney, I love the pictures of you and your new haircut on FB. You're such a sweetheart!

So much to do. Love you guys!

The whole situation is so heart breaking, Mariane, and even though you fully trust in God I am sure there is much anxiety about this trial. I can't begin to imagine how those precious boys feel and am so glad the older one asked to speak, if necessary, because they have a right to be heard. It must be tearing everyone apart. My prayers will be in high gear for all of you and I pray God's peace and comfort and presence will fill your household.

Joanney, I'm glad you had such a nice time. :)

Mariane, what a stressful week for all of you with the trial. Do you know when a decision will be made? I didn't have Outlook Express anymore, either, when I got my new computer in 2010. I actually e-mailed Carol for her husband's advice, and he suggested I get Thunderbird. It's free, and I haven't had any problems with it.

Laurie, it's my impression that the judge will make his decision immediately (as in that same day) so if she wins custody, the boys would go home with her permanently. This concerns me because the older boy will be prepared but it will come as a complete surprise to the younger boy. It will be a trauma of the worst kind for him because he (actually both of them) are not happy having to visit their mother every other weekend. How he would respond to any change isn't even imaginable. He tells John and me almost every day how much he loves living here and how he never wants to leave us.

I wish you'd pray (as I know you already do) about my pain level and the fact that the Morphine isn't helping like it used to. I want so much to feel well because of the boys.

Debby, it's good to hear from you any time. I'll be praying that this terrible housing market will not affect any sales that might come your way. It's a great time to buy, but an awful time to have to sell.

Love you all.

Well, It's the third day out from my "big fall" that shook every bolt holding my body together.

Actually, I don't feel too bad . . . except when I need to move, or cough, or sneeze, or....

Mariane, praying for your pain level and praying for the custody trial. May the judge see the truth of the situation and not be swayed by anything else. What an intense time for you, and for your family, for so many reasons. :hugs2

Don, I was wondering how you're feeling. From what happened, it sounded like you'd be hurting for a while. Wish there was something that could help. :(

The knees are much better, but the rib cage and back is pretty iffy. Sleeping is a problem because there is no position that doesn’t hurt. Okay, this is day three. They say the third day is the worst, so we’ll see. From past experience with damaged ribs, it takes about a week before improvement is noticed.

I had to pick up a few things at the grocery store this morning. It took longer to get in and out of the car than it took me to shop in the store. They were nice to carry the bags to my car for me. Yea!!!

Don, broken or fractured ribs take time to heal as you know so tread carefully.

About 7 years ago my hubby and I went camping. I had just taken the chicken off the BBQ and was walking back to the picnic table with it when all of a sudden I tripped on a rock.

I fell forward and all that I can remember was seeing the red hot coals in the fireplace pit . . . I was heading face down into it . . . I made a sharp turn and hit the edge of the metal enclosure the coals were burning in so that I would not end up in the hot coals face first. I got up but I could not breathe. I thought I was having a heart attack.

We were 45 minutes from the hospital. Our cells phones were of no use so my hubby sped down the highway until a cop stopped him. They called for an ambulance and I was taken to the ER where I was diagnosed with two broken ribs. One had punctured my lung.

It took me six weeks until the pain was completely gone so take it easy and don't over do it. I know this is easy to say and harder to do . . . especially with all that you have to do.

I will be sending my prayers your way for a speedy recovery.

I have had broken several ribs in past years, so I know the feeling/pain very well. As you know, Debbie, there is no escape from it for it never seems to goes away. It's a bummer!

Say, did anyone notice the new line I added to my signature today?

I've been working on a simple line that would describe my feelings, one that would describe who I am, and one that would describe what others might see in me. This is what I came up with:

"I have a story to tell...the saving gospel to share...and the fire of the Holy Spirit burning deep within my soul."
