Full-time writing job!!!

Postby RedBaron » Wed Mar 06, 2013 12:11 pm

I've been doing a few small jobs here and there, off and on. I'd had a dry spell since the end of November. I got three small jobs in the last few weeks, plus the on again/off again editing work I was doing for a local publishing company. I wasn't selected for one full-time job I applied for, but she could only hire 75 people for the first go around.

I got the contract for it this morning! I'm SO excited. I don't know if I'll be able to handle all the projects I've got going. I told the editor I'll need a leave (she had said that early on that she knows we all have other obligations) and she's always understood when people need breaks.

So now I have to see how much time it will take for the all the writing gigs and may have to drop something. It's nice to be able to say, "No, I don't have time for that job right now."

It's always feast or famine, but God has really supplied a feast of abundance this time.

I would have never been able to have this opportunity if it weren't for FaithWriters and the PM service giving me the first paid job I ever had (originally replied to a non-paid job) and the confidence to get out there. God is SO good.

It also means I may not be here quite as often, so be good ;)

Oh I'm so happy for you! But a bit sad too because I need you to answer all my questions! But mostly happy! In fact, even though I'm still sore and not feeling great, I'll even do one of my patented HAPPY DANCE!! I wiggle and point my hands in the air and say Whoo-Hoo! People tend to give me funny looks when i do it in public, but just now only the cat and the dog glared at me! :coolsign :party :party :rockon :shiney2 :star2 :star2 :star2

Uh before you get too busy, can you walk me through how to invite newbies to the buddy group one more time? Maybe make out a manual for me Instead of Important things for Dummies you can name it Shann for Dummies wait does that even make sense? :? :D

I'm not vanishing, just going to have to be a bit more scheduled :)
I can still answer your questions, and I may be back to the editing gig, once I have a better feel for the schedule.

Now the name was supposed to be Shann for Dummies, Bea! Gee-Whiz, trying to take away my dummy status, even if it didn't make any sense! :tongue :loveyou :hugs2 :hugs2 :loveyou

I'll second that Bea, I need all the dummie manual's I can get my hands on. I just goofed up sending a PM last night... Maybe one day, I will get everything down pat, but then I wouldn't have anymore questions. That would kinda take the fun away... Anyway, congratulations Shari, that is awesome for you. I pray you will know what to say yes to and what to turn down. God is good all the time! Bless you...
