Week 3 Topic - SALT AND PEPPER

Postby Deb Porter » Fri Jul 25, 2014 8:45 pm

Here we go again, Challengeers! Great to see so many of you jumping back into the Challenge. We're up to our third topic already, and it is a very savory one:

SALT AND PEPPER
http://www.faithwriters.com/writing-challenge-intro.php

As always, you don’t need to use the words "salt and pepper" in your entry, but might be a bit tricky to avoid the topic words this quarter. The topic does need to be the central focus of your entry, but you can do with it whatever you want--literal, symbolic, whatever. Any genre; any style, but you do need to write more than 150 words and less than 750 (for our new Challengeers).

AND it is Salt AND Pepper, not Salt OR Pepper.

As always, have fun and enjoy yourself. Feel free to chat about the topic here.

Love, Deb

The first thing that came to my mind were the gray streaks in my hair. They call it salt and pepper!
God Bless the beasts and the children
Give them shelter from the storms.
Children are our tomorrow
Keep them daily from the sorrow
Of the beasts in life

Not exactly topic related, but are we allowed to comment on each other's Challenge articles? How do we do that? When I go through and read archives or current entries, I see comments left on them, but haven't figured out how to leave one myself. I wager it's right in front of my beady little eyes and I'm just not seeing it. :)

Up near the top of each Challenge article, on the right (under the little blue Facebook "like" and "share" buttons, there is a link that says "Leave comment on article."

Just click on that. Right click and select "open in new window" (or tab) if you want to refer back to the article as you comment.

Hope that helps.

Aha! I KNEW it was right in front of me. Good thing that little button wasn't a snake...

Thank you!
