Week 6 Topic - GOSSIP MILL

Postby Deb Porter » Thu May 08, 2014 10:17 pm

Hey there, Challengeers. Whether you are new to the Challenge or an "old timer," I think everyone knows something about this week's topic:

GOSSIP MILL
http://www.faithwriters.com/writing-challenge-intro.php

Clarify the topic here: http://bit.ly/1hmN9Do (and click on the extra link to Rumour Mill from that page).

But do you really need the topic clarified? I doubt it. Churches quite often fall prey to the gossip/rumour mill, so I suspect it's a fairly familiar topic to most of us.

I suspect we have all had the odd omnishambolic day. LOL. We have probably been involved in organizations and events at times that have had a touch of the omnishambles about them too.

The gossip mill runs on overdrive in the entertainment industry, media generally, politics, etc. This topic isn't just gossip and rumours. It's about how it gets started, stirred and spread.

As always, you don’t need to use the phrase "gossip mill” in your entry. However, you do need to show the meaning through your story/poem/article. It needs to be the focus of your entry.

Let your creativity flow and enjoy yourself. That really is the most important thing. Feel free to experiment with your writing. Try new things. That's one of the best things about the Challenge, being able to do something different. Don't stress over it, though. Relax and just have fun.

Enjoy the creativity process and feel free to chat about the topic here.

Love, Deb
