I looked at my profile and realized that I have not submitted an article for the challenge since November... of 2008!

I have submitted a few regular articles, but nothing for the challenge... Until now. :)

Hey, better late than never. Right? Unless I'm an ambulance driver, of course, but that's a different subject altogether.

I may not even have enough time to write for this week's entry, much less chillax. :( It's been one of those weeks.

Perhaps I've been chillaxing a bit too long. Felt like I needed some WD-40 in the cogs. This will be my first go in level 4 and no I'm not happy with my first entry in Masters. But time is up. Hopefully I've worked a few of the cobwebs out.

Looks like this is going to be a fun ride this time around. I'll admit, when I saw the topic I was taken aback just a bit. Am I just getting old? I googled the word, then thought, Duh! I knew that.

See you in the comments. Blessings!

Sheldon

Welcome to Masters, Sheldon. Everyone feels a bit daunted when they take that step up. Don't let it get to you.

Also, all the topics this quarter, there's a link to the Oxford dictionary meaning right under the word on the Challenge main page. It says something like: Click here to clarify meaning of this topic.

That sort of clarification will probably be needed all this quarter, and it also does prove that they are words or sayings acknowledged by the dictionary. (And yes, I'm hoping it will be a fun quarter.)

(And I don't think you're too old. Based on something you just wrote, I think the next topic will fit quite nicely.)

I must admit I was on the fence about this next quarter - busy etc - but thought I may be tempted by intriguing topics.
Unfortunately, Chillax and Family aren't going to do it for me! :brrr
But have fun for the next 10 weeks :thumbs and I hope to drop by and read a few each week. :book2

Cheers
Heartsinger :sorry

PS I have nothing against new words etc I'm just not in that zone right now :)

No worries, Heartsinger. These things happen. But you've lost me with "Family." That's not the new topic.

I think she meant this "family" of words. Like the types of words. :)

I got something in, but I don't think anyone else in Masters has to worry about my entry. :D It was a very last minute effort, just because I didn't want to go another week without entering. Granted, I've surprised myself before, so I guess we'll see with this one.

I must add a little footnote to this particular topic. I've been up to my eyeballs for the last few weeks sending out release forms to 450+ authors for the Mixed Blessings Books (compiled mainly from the Writing Challenge entries). Anyway, one of the benefits is that it has been a great opportunity to catch up with some old FaithWriters friends.

One very dear lady (a fellow Aussie) had thought about entering the Challenge this week, but time got in the way. However, she said the word, chillax, had been in her thoughts all week and had a beautiful spiritual impact on her. As she thought on that word, and its meaning, God really spoke to her heart.

So not only is language constantly evolving, but our amazing God will use anything and everything available to whisper to our spirits ... we just have to be listening.

Hey Deb

Ya .... dude .... like Chillax and family (the family of new words)

Time is a cruncher right now for me - just finished my musical (first draft), casted it, and now editing and revising to suit the cast, working on music, finding my production team (catching the slow ones who try to run away - is a more appropriate description :P ) besides all the other stuff! I know you know what I mean! :?

I definitely had an idea and hope to explore it another time.

Blessings on you beautiful lady!

Heartsinger
