Hi Chris.

Just sent you an email with both files. If you don't get it, check your spam/junk folder. FaithWriters email has a tendency to sometimes go astray when sent to Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo accounts.

Let me know if you don't receive it at all.

Am a newbie & would like to get one the rating sheets...Open Office please.

Question though: Am I suppose to be leaving a number score on these entries? Or should I be writing out my comments/critiques??? I need clarification please. I want to help, but I don't want to be doing anything incorrectly.

Amelia, it's not necessary for you to leave a number score. If you get the ratings sheet from Deb, it'll just be for your own edification, to see what the judges are looking for when they rate the entries. It is VERY helpful, though, for you to comment on entries--and once you get the ratings sheet, you might want to focus on one or more of the judges' criteria when you leave a comment.

Hi Amelia.

Rating Worksheet is on the way to you by email. If you don't receive it, let me know.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. It's been a really busy week and I haven't been here on the forums at all until today.

Hi Deb, I noticed that at viewing the challenge winners it gives the opportunity to get a rating sheet, which I'm thinking is related to a piece any writer has submitted. When I clicked on this, it said something like it wasn't available. Is this an option still? I'm on gold, so perhaps this is for platinum users only? Thx

Deb's probably asleep now. The ratings sheet, which the judges use in rating the Writing Challenge pieces, is available to anyone. I still have your email address, and I'll email you a copy of it.

I'm wondering if you are talking about the rating sheets that the judges used or the review Deb used to give through her company telling you what the judges thought of your challenge article and how it rated. You used to be able to buy them, but now that Deb is so busy with the publishing company, I don't think she offers it anymore.

Hi Shann,Yes, that was what the link that went nowhere must have been about. What a great resource that would have been!

Thanks Jan for sending the form to my email :)

Hi Trace. Sorry I missed all this. I was at a Christian Writers Conference all weekend (from Friday morning to Sunday night) and we had virtually no internet connection at all. So I'm just catching up now.

Glad Jan was able to send you through the sheet.

With the reviews, it just came down to a time factor with my new publishing business. Some things had to go by the wayside, and unfortunately, given the nature of the results, it's something only the coordinator can really do.

I think you'll find using the rating sheet helpful, though. It helps grow in your critiquing skills, both for others and for your own writing.

Thanks Deb

The rating sheet has definitely been helpful, and the forums specifically on the challenge.

I cannot express how thrilled I am to discover this website. I've only been on it a short while and already see vast improvements in my work because of Jan's great teaching, the constructive critiques and the challenges themselves. Gotta love editing, it's such a nitty business with great rewards.

This ministry work that Faithwriters provides is invaluable. What a difference all the staff are making to the world.

Thanks for your part in this :thankssign
