1.Automatic run-over billing 2. Times

1.Just wondering. If I sign up to gold membership my account is billed for a year and apparently automatically runs over to bill me for the following year if I don't cancel. If I do want to cancel at the end of the year how do I do it? Will I receive any notification before another amount is taken from my account?
2. Are the times for the closing of challenges that appear on the site (for me in Australia) as EST times in eastern US or Australian EST? I assume the former. Is that correct? If so I'll have to work out how to count back from our time here.

All FaithWriters times are US EST.

I do monthly so I don't know if there is a notice at the end of the year, so you would have to use the Contact Us to ask about that http://www.faithwriters.com/corp-contact.php

But I don't think there is a notice.

Yarra, as everything goes through PayPal now, I think you could just easily disable that as a regular payment via PayPal if it was paid through your PayPal account. Not sure. If you paid the once through PayPal just by credit card, not through a PayPal account, I don't think it can be re-billed, but again, I'm not sure. Because the payment system has changed, I really don't know how it works now regarding notification.

I'll ask Michael and Bea to pop in and explain what they are doing now when it comes to re-billing accounts paid through PayPal.

However, if the worst happened and you were billed without notice, I think you could ask for that payment to be refunded.

You would simply email mail us at: writer-support@faithwriters.com or go to your PayPal account and cancel a couple weeks before your renewal. Either one or the other is an option.

Re my 2nd question (and maybe this isn't the slot in which to ask it so I'll post it on the relevant forum too) - Is the finishing time for challenges that appears on my screen here in Australia in US time or our local time? It makes a difference in that we're quite a few hours ahead here. However it's just occurred to me that I can't be late if I work to Aus EST time - I'd be early!

For us Aussies, if you've finished daylight saving, I think the Challenge closes at around midnight on Thursday/Friday. When Daylight Saving is on for us and off in the US, it's 2 Friday morning here. Then we have about two weeks when the US is off daylight saving and we're still on it (at least here in Sydney). When that happens, it's around 1 am Friday morning.

I don't wait up to check for final entries.

Thanks Deb. Time differences always take a bit of thinking through so that clears it up nicely for me. So now, soon, to take the plunge and upgrade to gold status so I can enter the challenges. Many thanks for your help.

This brings up a question for me. I know my current gold membership is coming up for renewal soon, but I'm not sure exactly when. I can't seem to find anywhere on my profile page that tells me when my account is active through. Am I missing something? Is there somewhere I can access that information?
