The New Year has started
Excitement is high
We've made resolutions
We all want to try
What happens each year
To throw us off track
What happens to the passion
That we suddenly lack
We have great intentions
But the fire burns out
Life gets in the way
"There's no time" we all shout
So this year I challenge you
To keep the fires burning
Make a resolution to yourself
To fulfill your yearning
Read your goals
As you start your day
Then ask for help
As you begin to pray
You'll be surprised

Resolutions are kept
The vices you'll lick
Our Lord in heaven
Is there for you
