Thank you, Laurie.

It's one of those things that I call an assignment from God.
I can't focus on anything else, until I do it. :|

I know what you mean. I've had times like that, too. :)

My goal is just to write more. I need to get back in the groove and get to know my passion again. I've left it on the shelf for too long (no pun intended). Whether I get back into the Challenges, or blow the dust off of my half-finished novels, I just need to do something. I share a fictional blog (an ongoing story) with a friend and write in it daily, but I need to spread out into other genres again. My confidence is shot, and I need to find it again.

It would be great to see you back in the challenge. A number of "old timers" have come back to it this year. I jumped back in last year. I was rusty, and I think some of the others have felt the same, but we agree that it feels good just to write again. :)

Glad I'm not alone in the feeling-rusty category!

Not at all alone. I entered twice after a 18-month break and it was hard. I also started two more stories that just didn't work so didn't enter them. Editing and doing soft rewrites is way easier than writing my own stuff!

Looks like it's been about 7 years since my last challenge article, so this should be interesting... :D

I entered only once between 2010 and 2018, so I get what you mean. I bet you'll do just fine, though, once you get going. :)

I did get back into the Challenge and have worked a little on my longer project, here and there. It's a start :D.

I've had that happen, too. It's nice to have a (positive) surprise once in a while. :)

So, how's it going with the goals, everyone? I hope to finish tidying up my submission proposal and sending it off to an agent by the end of the week. It was not an easy task because it had to include a catchy cover letter, an "Oh, I like that idea" proposal, an outline, and two sample chapters. Whew! I'm not going to think about rejection, not yet.

That's awesome, Lillian. I bet it feels great to get this far. :)

I published one of the ebooks I was working on, and now I'm working on promoting it. I have a second ebook almost completed, but will let that sit for now while I promote the first one.

Thanks, Laurie. You have a beautiful website! From my limited knowledge, the topic from a Christian perspective is not widely covered, and you do a fabulous job doing so. Did you set up the website?
